No cascading dropdowns, no filling in make, model and engine. The file itself already carries the information we need.
When you upload the reading, the platform analyzes the software number and the identifiers contained in the file itself and works out which ECU it is. You just tick the solutions you want and confirm. Fewer clicks, less room for error, and for the already-validated automatic solutions, the file is generated in minutes.
Just one requirement: the reading has to be good and not truncated, since the identification comes from the binary's own content. Ideally we work with original files, but we also work with files that have already been modified. Your balance is deducted when you confirm the request, not when you upload the file — and if you just want to see what's inside, DTC verification is free and doesn't use any balance.
Clear pricing, per solution
Top up your wallet and pay for each solution at its individual price — the same amount no matter the ECU, with no separate plans, so your margins stay high.
Combine solutions on the same file and come out ahead: if you select several at once, their combined cost is capped per file, so past a certain point you don't pay more for adding solutions. Immo off and automatic Stage 1 are separate services and don't count toward that cap. Exact amounts are shown in your account. Your wallet balance never expires.

Who's behind File Service
File Service is operated by AFR Engine, an automotive electronics workshop in Zaragoza, Spain. We're not a mechanical repair shop: we work exclusively on electronics and engine management. The same standards we apply to the vehicles that come through our doors are the ones we apply to the files that come out of the platform.
